Newsletter – September 2013

Hello again. Summer weather continues to shine on us here in the Seattle area.  Lovely!  I hope the weather is being kind to you, too.  The photo was taken recently when a friend provided a guided tour of part of Whidbey Island, the longest island on the Pacific coast of the contiguous United States

John forwarded an article by Lara Sinclair that was in The Australian on August 27, 2013 ‘Face reading technology is now a reality for marketers’ describes the ability of companies, researchers and marketers to use on-line technologies to analyse people’s faces as they react to an ad or product.  The article can be accessed through the link below:  http://www.visioncritical.com/news/face-reading-technology-now-reality-marketers

It has been a busy few weeks as fabulous people have joined with us to take a fresh look at the work and results of the training I have been conducting the past many years.  Many great ideas have been (and continue to be!) shared and developed.  We are working to design a more accurate way of describing and defining ‘Facing Facts’ and ‘It’s All About Face’.  Please share with me your thoughts about what impact these face reading tools and working with me has had with you personally or professionally.  I would appreciate your permission to use your comments in my portfolio.

Many thanks to each of you!

Glenna

1. Facial features and their associated meaning – the eyebrows.

Continuing with a brief overview of facial features and their associated meaning, we now move on to the eyebrows.  With this feature of the face, there are many things to consider – structural characteristics, shape, placement, formations, brow qualities, and the characteristics of the brow hair (i.e. – long, short, even, wild, etc.).  For a very brief explanation, the eyebrows reflect the individual’s emotional responses, serve as a great ‘mood indicator’, provide information on the person’s organizational strategies as well as her/his thinking patterns.  In this area, we can also get a glimpse of the person’s ambitions in life.

2. More on facial features – the eyes

“Windows to the soul” are how eyes are often described and they indeed transmit and receive immense amounts of information and energy.  In addition to reflecting and telegraphing attitude toward life, mental vision, emotional expressiveness as well as a person’s interpretation system, eyes also indicate how much information a person is willing to let in or let out.

Our right eye (‘social mask’ side of our face) displays our relationship with the environment and how we look at everything that is happening around us.  Our left eye (‘private’ side of our face) reveals how we view our self and our lot in life, where we think we are headed, etc.

3. Glenna’s reading of the August 2013 Face of the Month (www.facingfacts.info)

Lady Catherine AshtonEven without doing a mirror image, it is quite evident that the two horizontal halves of this face are very different.  When applying face reading tools in this instance, it is important to ascertain whether the right/left side difference might be a result of injury, illness or surgery.  If none of these apply, such differences between the ‘public’ and ‘private’ face indicates a complex person and/or a complex life situation.  Intelligent, responsible, with great determination in the public side of her life, she has less energy to ‘hold her ground’ in her private life.

Catherine Ashton is the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

For those studying personality programmes:  ORD, PANG, SLIM (right or ‘public’ side only) and AYM,

4. FAQ’s – “When comparing the right and left sides of a person’s face, what does it mean when it looks like two completely different people?”

Glenna replies – Each of us are drawn to different aspects of a face – some to the eyes, some to the mouth, some to the hair on (or surrounding) the face, etc.  It is my belief and personal experience that the eyes reveal the most information about an individual, displaying information about how they are feeling in the moment as well as their deep-seated beliefs, emotions and view of the world.  Michael (What’s In A Face – The ‘Dictionary’ for Heart-Centered Face Reading) describes the eyes as ‘the soul’s camera’ and as such they are the connecting point between the individual and the world.  I like to think of the eyes as ‘insight’ into a person as well as ‘outsight’ from the person’s perspective.

5. Face of the Month – September 2013

Lamar_Odom_Sept_fomMy choice for the September “face of the month’ provides plenty of scope for established and ‘first time’ face readers to analyse facial expressions, and also chart an individuals ‘road map’ as they journey through life.

Good luck – and please let me know how you get on with your analysis!

I welcome your e-mails, comments and questions, and will provide my interpretation in next month’s Newsletter.

Until we meet again.

Best wishes,

Glenna
