Newsletter – June 2014

WP_20140602_003

Hello from Seattle on beautiful early summer day,

For those of you who joined in the classes in Belgium and England, it was lovely to meet and work with you. My appreciation to Inge (Belgium) and to Lina (Picasso HR, England) for organizing these sessions.

I hope to see and meet many more of you in future courses in the States, Canada and elsewhere. Please check the information on the front page of my website for classes as they are scheduled.

It was a pleasure having an interview with journalist Jan Jagers of Knack’ magazine in Belgium. He asked many interesting and challenging questions which lead to fascinating and mind-expanding discussions. This is a process that always is a delight for me.

Thank you Jan.

The next introductory Facial Communication classes will be held on June 23rd at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, 11215 NE 124th St, Kirkland, WA, 98034, USA and are being coordinated by Amy Yamada (amyyamada.com).

1. Facial features and their associated meaning – mouth area characteristics.
The quality of the area around the mouth expresses the individual’s trust of other people as well as their generosity towards others, particularly in regards to power and influence as well as their ability to be impacted and vulnerable.

kim-jong-unIntelligence, determination and creativity are revealed in this face.

This is a person who functions best within over-conforming and rigid structure, has a low tolerance for frustration and is prone to being judgemental.

There are no signs of joy in either the ‘social mask’ or the ‘real self’.

This is a photo of Kim-Jong Un, the supreme leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea).

4. FAQ’s – “Do you teach the same face reading skills as others?”

Glenna replies – “There are many individuals who teach various forms of face reading. Since I am not fully aware of every aspect others offer training in, I will give you a brief description of the tools I use and teach.

I, along with others, encourage those interested in learning about face reading to study Paul Ekman’s work on facial emotions. Also, there is value in learning about facial features and their associated meaning. In addition to these tools, I also teach ‘Heart-Centered face reading techniques developed by Dr. Michael J. Lincoln which include mirror-imaging (how to identify a person’s ‘real self’ and distinguish that from their ‘social mask’); face mapping which involves examination of nine sections of the face; and recognition of personality programs.

Gaining skills with these tools improves observation, interviewing and communication skills, allow us to identify strengths and vulnerabilities, and provide catalyst for positive growth“.

Portrait Of Romantic Young Couple EmbracingDuring last month my website registered thousands of visits, the majority from Europe.

If this is your first visit, –  ‘welcome’.

Each month I feature a ‘face of the month’ and invite new and experienced ‘face readers’ to practice their skills, and e-mail me if they have questions or suggestions.

Next month I will share my interpretation of the June ‘Face of the Month’.

Good luck with your interpretation.
